My son was in 1st place most of the month! I worked very hard to win this contest! I hope these are not the winners!!!
Krysta, the winners are selected at random now. These are the published winners and it will be featured in tomorrow’s community email. Very sorry. We aim to make these contests as agreeable as possible to all involved.
Yeah same here. My daughter had the fourth most votes, didn’t win anything. One photo of the winners isn’t even a beach picture. Apparently I was severely misinformed as to the aspects of this contest. We won’t waste our time again.
Hi Bethany, the rules of the contest are very clear on the main contest page. The winners are now selected by computer software and it is random by place category. I am sorry you feel the contest was a waste of time. We were very happy you were able to participate. Why would you ask people to vote if you are choosing the winner randomly? Shame on you.
Hi Richard, Let me give you a bit of background so that you may understand things from our perspective. When we first started the contests people complained that person’s dogs who had passed away should not be allowed to be in the contest. We politely reminded them this is a ‘photo’ contest and that a photo is a photo. We used to only have one prize at that time and people complained that there were not enough chances to win. We added 5 more prizes and we also created different ways to win as we also had other complaints that… Read more »
I’m confused as to why one person won twice, it’s against your own rules.
This is likely because a different email was used and the system cannot tell the difference between submissions other than unique emails. I hope this answers your question. We will look into this further and see if we can improve the detection on submissions based on the name field as well.
How can someone win with more votes then views?????????????????/
You do not have to view the submission to vote on it. The main pages allow voting without submission view. I hope this answers your question.
