Lost Tree Islands Restoration Project</strong></p>
<p><strong>Vero Beach, FL -</strong> Mark your calendars. Indian River County’s Parks & Recreation – Conservation Lands Program will host a public meeting on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM to discuss the Lost Tree Islands Conservation Area (LTICA) habitat restoration and enhancement project. Residents can participate in the meeting in person at the Intergenerational Center (iG Center), which is located at 1590 9<sup>th</sup> Street SW Vero Beach, FL 32962. The meeting will also be available for individuals who wish to attend virtually via Zoom:</p>

<p>Located north of the City of Vero Beach and south of the Town of Indian River Shores, the LTICA project will be the largest Indian River Lagoon restoration project undertaken by the County to date. During the public meeting, participants learn what makes the LTICA project a unique opportunity to provide a sanctuary for native wildlife, improve water quality for the Lagoon and create passive recreation for Indian River County residents and visitors.</p>
<p>”With approximately 508 upland, wetland and submerged acres, the Lost Tree Islands Conservation Area provides substantial environmental, social and aesthetic benefits to our citizens and visitors,” <strong>said Beth Powell, Assistant Director of Indian River County’s Parks and Conservation Resources</strong>. “We are excited to share our initial design plans for the project and look forward to working with community partners and the public as we move into the final design stage.”</p>
<p>Indian River County would like to acknowledge the Indian River Lagoon Council for the award of a Cost-Share Agreement for funding assistance in the development of the enhancement and restoration plan that will be presented.</p>
