This year's Vero Beach Museum of Art Summer Art Camp is inspired by the art of creative play!
Young students learn through play, developing creativity, new vocabulary and physical abilities, and cognitive, social, and literacy skills. The artist Pablo Picasso once said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." This summer, check out the exhibition Dan Gunderson: A View From Above (June 17 – September 3, 2017) to see one fascinating example of "toying with art!" This summer we also feature the return of Master Classes for the student looking for a minicourse in the creative possibilities of a particular artistic medium. Campers will build their skills and their artist portfolio each day in a real studio environment.
As always, our program is designed to offer a creative environment for young artists to explore new ideas, develop skills, and build self-esteem through making and learning about art. Each session’s themes include a wide range of hands-on and mindson activities that engage the imagination and spark kids to making their own original creations. Our expert instructors are experienced in getting the best work from their students in a fun, welcoming setting. For your convenience, we also provide early drop-off/late pick-up and lunch care for an additional fee.
