While I normally write about food, I decided it was time to expand my horizons and write about a local attraction that I’m sure most people have heard of, but may not have fully explored to see all that they have to offer. I was originally invited to Riverside Theater just to check out their food they serve at their on-site café catered by Café 66 but figured I would include everything that I experienced during my two visits. This article will focus on the events and shows that we attended, and in about 2 weeks, the food that we got to taste from the café will be featured in another upcoming article.
Most of the time it seems like we don’t fully explore the cities or towns we live into their full extent and are always looking to travel outside of our own area to find something to do. We take for granted the entertainment close by since they are in our backyards and we will always have an opportunity to visit them. My intention for this article is to show you what you have been missing if you have not visited the Riverside Theater yet. I was very impressed with everything they are doing and especially the facility. My uncle visits a lot of theaters throughout the year and he says this is one of the nicest ones around Florida that he has been to.
Here is a link directly to their website if you would like to know the history behind the theater.
Now let’s jump right in and see what this place has to offer!
Riverside Professional Theater – Unfortunately we are currently out of season so we did not get to experience a show, however, we did get a chance to see the theater briefly and it’s much bigger than I expected it to be. Tickets are on sale now and the show schedule starts in late October. To see the full schedule and to purchase tickets for the upcoming 2018 – 2019 season, please visit the following link:
Comedy Zone Experience – After we got to enjoy the outside concert, we were invited in to check out the comedy club and see a show. Two comedians took the stage for an hour and a half long show. Seating is at round tables, varying in size depending on the size of your party. Full bar service provided by Riverside Theater along with food catered by Café 66 is available throughout the show. First show started at 7:30 pm and the last one starts at 9:30 pm. Hit up the link below for additional information and a full schedule of upcoming performers:

WOW, what an experience we had while visiting the Riverside Theater! I’ve been in Vero for a little over 4 years now and this was my first visit and now I’m sorry I did not check it out sooner. This theater has a TON of stuff going on all the time and every show we saw was top notch entertainment! Tickets are very reasonable with different price points to match every budget. If you are looking for something fun to do, then stop looking out of town and start looking in your own backyard and become a “Vero Tourist”!
