LIVE! From Vero Beach Introduces Joan Osborne

…the most gifted vocalist of her generation

A gifted singer, songwriter and musician will take center stage on Thursday, February 6 at The Emerson Center at 7 p.m.  Joan Osborne and her trio of musicians will no doubt leave audiences with a soulful evening filled of tunes, stories and strong feelings of optimism.  This concert is one in a series proudly presented to the community by LIVE! From Vero Beach and sponsored by Cindy O’Dare and Fenia Hiaasen.

Joan Elizabeth Osborne is an American singer, songwriter, and interpreter of music, having recorded and performed in various popular American musical genres including pop, soul, R&B, blues, and country. She is best known for her recording of the Eric Bazilian song “One of Us”. She has toured with Motown sidemen the Funk Brothers and was featured in the documentary film about them, Standing in the Shadows of Motown. Just finishing a smashing successful tour, “Joan Osborne Sings the Songs of Bob Dylan,” Joan is sure to delight the audience with some Dylan tunes. She is a three-time platinum Grammy-nominated singer, has made three albums of soul, R & B, and Blues covers, and has been referred to as “the most gifted vocalist of her generation and a singer who understands the nuaunce of phrase, time and elocution.” Joining Ms. Osborne in concert is the amazing veteran pianist Keith Cotton along with a collaborating guitarist enabling the trio flexibility to play the songs in a subtle way or to crank them up from more of a party atmosphere!
