5 Drink Recipes For A Hot Summer Day

Picture this: it’s the weekend, you’re sitting on the beach reading a book, and dreaming about quitting your job and living on the beach forever. It’s also 10,000 degrees outside.  The only thing left that you need in order to daydream is a cold drink in your hand to keep you from melting. Here are 5 drinks that are perfect for the summertime.

Piña Colada

  • 1 1/2 cup of ice
  • 1/2 cup frozen diced pineapple
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz coconut cream
  • 1 1/2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • pineapple slices


Put the ice, frozen pineapple, juice, coconut cream, and the white and dark rums into a blender. Blend until smooth and frosty. Pour the drink into 2 glasses and garnish the rim with pineapple slices.

Moscato Margaritas

  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • Lime wedges
  • 12 oz silver tequila 
  • 1 cup of chopped strawberries
  • 8 oz moscato
  • 8 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 cup of ice


  1. In a small dish, pour sugar. Rim glasses with lime wedge then dip in sugar.
  2. Combine tequila, strawberries, moscato, triple sec, lime juice, and ice in blender. Blend until smooth, then divide mixture between glasses, garnish with lime wedge and serve.

Bahama Mamas

  • Ice
  • 2 parts orange juice
  • 1 part pineapple juice
  • 1 part dark rum
  • 1/2 part coconut rum
  • 1/2 part lime juice 
  • Splash grenadine
  • Pineapple wedges
  • Maraschino cherries


  1. Fill a glass with ice. Pour over orange juice, pineapple juice, dark rum, coocnut rum, lime juice and grenadine.
  2. Garnish with pineapple and maraschino cherries

Blueberry Lemonade Sangria

  • 1 750-ml bottle dry white wine
  • 1 cup Simply Lemonade with Blueberry
  • 1/4 cup of tequila
  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup of cold seltzer


  1. In a pitcher, combine wine, lemonade, and tequila and stir until combined.
  2. Add fruit and top off with seltzer and serve.

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 3 oz dark rum
  • 6 oz passion fruit
  • 6 oz orange juice 
  • 2 tbsp grenadine
  • 2 orange slices
  • 2 orange slices
  • 2 maraschino cherries


  1. In a large liquid measuring cup, mix first 5 ingredients.
  2. Pour over iced-filled glass.
  3. Garnish each glass with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry.
