Jungle Adventures Summer Camp

For over 25 years the Jungle Club has prided itself on providing fun, youth-oriented camps for children between the ages of 6-12. Every camper will enjoy an experience filled with fun, fitness and friendships! There is something for every child!

Vero Beach Karate Association Summer Camp

Along with martial arts training, our campers will participate in good manners workshops, leadership trainings, music enrichment and ballroom dancing. We strive to create smart, well rounded fit young men and women through sports, personal development and a variety of creative projects and speakers.


Rowing Camp

Vero Beach Rowing’s mission is to “To promote and teach the sport of rowing to the community in order to develop physical fitness, personal character, and an ethic of cooperation through competitive and recreational opportunities.” We believe that this mission begins with our commitment to growing our youth programs. Our club provides the opportunity for youth from any school to participate in our programs.


City of Vero Beach Recreation Department Summer Camps

Sports / Aquatics and Aerial Antics Circus Summer Camps

Weekly activities for both camps include swimming, movies, arts and crafts, bowling, skating, and much more! Sports campers will play volleyball, tennis, kickball, football, soccer and basketball. Aerial Antics campers will receive instruction in gymnastics, dance, circus aerial (trapeze, rings, hoop, etc.), tumbling and circus arts.


Marine Biology Summer Camp with the Smithsonian at the St. Lucie County Aquarium

The St. Lucie County Aquarium is offering four different Summer camps. Ocean Discovery, Ocean Adventure, Ocean Explorer, and Marine Science Field Experience. These camps are for a broad range of ages so be sure to check out what best suits your child!

Riverside Theatre

The performing arts build confidence, empathy, and community with their fellow performers and also the audience. Riverside Theatre’s Summer Camps create a nurturing and fun environment for kids. Students will develop musical theatre skills, learn to collaborate with others as an ensemble and perform in a showcase. Several camps are offered and designed for ages 5 and up. Tuition scholarship programs are available to provide financial assistance to qualifying students.

Little Stars Beginning Stages

These NEW performance based camps are centered around cultivating a young actor’s skills in singing, acting, and movement. Theatre exercises, singing, and movement will be utilized to teach important performance skills. Perfect for both the beginning star and also those with experience! The last day of each camp ends in a small showing of their skills for families. Themes change each week and will include some songs, dances, and storytelling.


Rascals

This year our very popular Rascals Revue opens up a new section for younger students. Each camp will focus on classic songs from your favorite Broadway musicals. Both Rascal camps will perform together on the Stark Stage at the end of the week for a unique performance experience!

“SHREK” The Musical, Jr.

This year’s JR camp will be presenting the full show in a staged performance with an emphasis on performances over major production elements. Based on the beloved animated films, Shrek The Musical JR tells the irreverent fairy tale of a disgruntled ogre and a chatty donkey as they attempt to rescue a princess with secrets of her own.


“Matilda” The Musical

For the first time on the Treasure Coast, we will present the full production of Matilda the Musical! Based on the classic Roald Dahl book, this award winning musical tells a timeless tale of rebellion and magic as young Matilda Wormwood learns that “sometimes you have to be a little bit naughty”!


RT Star’s Little Stars Revue

These NEW singing based performance camps are centered around vocal skills. Using age-appropriate songs from the musical theatre and pop catalog, vocal and performance technique will be taught as each camp learns songs to be performed at the end of the week as part of RT Star’s Back To School Party on AUGUST 3!

Summer Youth Basketball

This is a Co-Ed Basketball program that is designed to teach the basic fundamentals of basketball, teamwork, and
good sportsmanship. The teams have volunteer coaches who will hold practices for their team.

Eco-Explorers Summer Camp

Their journey begins with a sea turtle encounter, followed by snorkeling to discover the world beneath the sea, then kayaking and paddle boarding to explore the diversity of life on the lagoon, and on to a grand finale of surfing to experience the elements of the ocean and beach that attracts more nesting sea turtles than virtually any place on earth!


Each summer, the Environmental Learning Center continues to offer our most beloved camp activities while also adding new and exciting age-appropriate elements that will spark your child’s sense of wonder, creativity, and love for our unique Indian River Lagoon ecosystem. We offer immersive sensory experiences for children entering kindergarten through 8th grade that are hands-on, feet-wet, and encourage outdoor exploration using different scientific tools on the ELC’s lagoon island campus. A perfect blend of education and fun, the ELC’s action-packed camp programs are an exceptional way to keep your child’s body, mind, and spirit active during the summer months while making new lifelong friends.

Young Explorers

Campers will be introduced to animals, plants & the great outdoors! Young Explorers enjoy nature themed scavenger hunts & crafts, ELC campus adventures that include touch tank encounters, bug & butterfly exploration, & we’ll even wade into our pond for an exciting dip-netting activity.


Imagineering STEAM

Imagineers will take their outdoor exploration, imaginations, & fun to the next level! Our campers will enjoy different exciting outdoor activities that incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math, from recording natural sounds, to testing water quality, & even building their very own ROVs!  Imagineers will learn how to use different technologies to collect data on land & under water that help scientists evaluate the health of different habitats.


Our Living World

Campers will explore animals’ habitats & become environmental stewards! Adventuring through our living world along the Indian River Lagoon, campers will enjoy age-appropriate scavenger hunts & nature crafts, touch tank encounters, become scat & track experts, & learn to seine net for a wide diversity of critters in the lagoon.


Week on the Water I

Our H2O lovers will participate in 5 days of water safety, pool time, canoeing, a pontoon boat excursion to explore an uninhabited lagoon island, observation of Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge, seine-netting, benthic ecology, conservation activities, beach & inlet exploration, & even a tour of WaterVentures (Florida’s learning lab & traveling science center)! On the final day of camp, family members can join us for an ice-cream social, camper skits, & a photo slideshow of all the fun we had at camp.

Come and experience camping at its best by choosing a week of Resident Camp for your child. We offer eight fun-filled weeks for youth ages 8 to 16.


Day Camp at Life for Youth

Send your child to Day Camp and experience a summer like no other. Day Camp offers a widerange of activities to keep your children entertained
and well-supervised during the summer. You can choose one week or more of summer camp. Each week of Day Camp runs Monday through Friday
from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Vero Beach Museum of Art Summer Art Camp is designed to offer an environment for young artists to explore ideas, develop skills, help build self esteem, and encourage creativity through experiencing, making and learning about all aspects of art. 

Each session’s themes include a wide range of hands-on and minds-on activities that engage the imagination and spark kids to making their own original creations. Our expert instructors are experienced in getting the best work from their students in a fun, welcoming setting. For your convenience, we also provide early drop-off/late pick-up and lunch care for an additional fee.


Saint Edward’s Summer Camps

Saint Edward’s Summer Camp welcomes children from the community and beyond. We offer a wide variety of camps on the river, on the fields and in the classroom. There is something for everyone!

Water Camp

SES Water Camp, located on the beautiful Indian River Lagoon, offers a unique summer experience! Morning activities can include sailing, water-skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, tube rides, jet-ski rides, kayaking, paddle boarding and more. In the afternoon, enjoy sports, games, arts-n-crafts, swimming and other group activities. Please note: Due to space limitations, refunds will NOT be issued.


ACT Boot Camp

Rising Juniors and Seniors: Prepare for your ACT like never before! This
is the ideal way to concentrate your efforts and refine your strategies, especially if you are taking the July 13th ACT. Get ready for daily practice on all sections, individualized strategies based on each student’s strengths,
skill building and review of grammar and math formulas, efficient tactics for reading comprehension and science sections. Timing breakdowns and test-taking skills.


Science Expedition

This camp will explore the campus and Middle School science lab each day.
Expedition topics may include animal science (meet animals in the science class and identify those found on campus), geology/fossils (first learn how fossils form, see a wide variety of fossil samples, and dig for your own fossils to take home), habitats and observation skills (learn about how the
habitats on campus vary and sharpen your ability to observe things around you), water chemistry/oceanography and more. During the second half of the morning, students will utilize technology to create a variety of different projects building upon the knowledge gained from the morning’s expedition. Other possible projects include creating videos, Kahoot trivia games, journal entries and interactive multimedia posters.


Chinese Camp

If you can speak English and Chinese, you can communicate with half of the world’s population. Chinese has become the language for world business and commerce. Studies show that the earlier a student is exposed to a new language, the more likely they will be able to acquire the fluency and an accent of a native-speaker. Activities include selfintroduction, counting, making culturally appropriate inquiries, hobbies, food preference, learning to use chopsticks, folk songs and dances, Chinese jump-rope and physical exercises, the Chinese zodiac animals and their stories, etc. Come and join us for fun!


Get Your Motor Running

Campers will have opportunities to expand fine motor, visual motor and gross motor skills. Time will be split between the classroom and the gymnasium. Children will have fun with putty and various manipulatives and crafts. We will incorporate portions of the Handwriting Without Tears Program. Obstacle courses and fun games will challenge their eye-hand coordination and gross motor skills.


How Does Your Garden Grow?

This summer program will teach children about the way things grow in a down-toearth approach. Learn about plants by planting sunflowers, dissecting seeds, making leaf rubbings and creating plant and vegetable prints. We will also talk about bees, a flower’s favorite pollinator, and investigate the world of worms. Come have fun and play in the dirt too!


Phonics and Fun

This exciting camp will provide 4 and 5 year olds with an opportunity to learn about phonics through games, crafts, and computers. It is a multi-sensory program of visual, kinesthetic and auditory activities that will be enjoyed throughout the week.


Spanish Camp

Each day is an adventure in this action based program. The children will build a substantial vocabulary through activities such as arts and crafts, dance, acting, games and more, all in Spanish. There will also be a celebration fiesta day during the week.


Lil’ Picasso Camp

This class will be taught by local artist Teri Barrett of Artworks by Teri. Students will spend time creating their own masterpieces. Join Ms. Teri for fun, painting and creating right here at Saint Edward’s School.


Tinkering for Girls

During this 12-hour class, we will make sewn circuits, fuse plastic and experiment with kitchen chemistry. On day one, we will turn old plastic bags into beautiful new fabrics that can be used to make a variety of fashionable and functional items. You’ll develop your sewing skills as you use a needle and thread to stitch your design into a wallet, bag or purse. On days two and three, girls will sew their own stuffed light-up toy using a battery, conductive thread, conductive tape, an LED light and felt. On day four, we will make glitter slime and bath bombs while exploring chemistry concepts.


Genealogy

This intensive tthreedaycourse will give all family historians, young and young-at-heart, an introduction to the many facets of genealogy research. It will be hands-on and differentiated, allowing students and their parents/grandparents (should they choose to join their children) the opportunity to explore their own families and the historical events
that impacted each generation.
Day 1: How to begin genealogy research?

Day 3: DNA basics and how it is used in
genealogy research and next steps.


Lego Robotics

Lego WeDo promotes investigation, experimentation and critical thinking skills. We will explore science, engineering and technology concepts while learning about space exploration. Campers will build a droid, a robotic arm, a walking robot, a launcher and a Mars rover.


Intro to Photography

This class will cover basic camera operation using manual settings; understanding exposure; Isolating subjects using depth-of-focus; creative composition; freezing and blurring motion; setting a proper white balance; evaluating and optimizing natural and ambient light; a photo scavenger hunt, filling the frame and finding shapes, letters and numbers in ordinary objects; and painting with light.


Intermediate Photography

This class includes working with RAW images in Photoshop, advanced creative composition; documentary photography and photojournalism, black-and-white imaging and techniques in macro photography.


Creating your First Animation

In this workshop students will learn the history of animation and create a simple bouncing ball animated GIF using Adobe Photoshop and a stop-motion animated film. For example, the principle of “Timing” can be demonstrated by animating a swinging pendulum, the principle of
“Posing” by manipulating a puppet character to create a walk-cycle. Most importantly students will learn the elements of what makes a good story so they can continue to create compelling animation for years to come.


Intro to Digital Film Making

In this workshop you will learn basic DSLR camera operation for creating digital films. You will also learn basic editing techniques in Adobe Premiere, including cuts, transitions, adding music and sound effects, as well as adding titles and subtitles.


Intermediate Film Making 

Using skills and techniques learned in INTRO TO DIGITAL FILMMAKING, July 8-12, students will write storyboard, direct, shoot and edit a short film. We will learn basic lighting and sound recording techniques. You will then edit the film and output it for viewing on YouTube or even the Big Screen.


Gone Fishing

Learn to fish like a master. Each day students will board a boat and travel the lagoon in search of the perfect catch. This fun and educational camp will be the highlight of the day for every junior fisherman or fisherwoman. Bait will be provided daily. Swimsuits and wet shoes are recommended because participants may get wet. Sunscreen and a hat or sunglasses is a must!


Yoga/Movement 

In the Yoga / Movement class students get to experience active yoga sequences set to energizing music. There will be yoga-inspired games, mindful moments and plenty of smiles. Your child will challenge their imagination while eveloping strength, flexibility, coordination and balance.


Girls Lacrosse

This camp will emphasize positional play, team concepts and gameplay. Every aspect of the game will be covered from footwork, passing, stick handling, shooting, dodging, face-offs, speed/agility/strength conditioning and of course GAMES!


Chess Camp

Learn the fundamentals of chess and have fun while engaging at all levels of play. By signing up for this camp you will be taught the game of chess by a Chess Master. Milos Bajsanski has coached eight U.S. chess champions and more than 20 state chess champions.


Aquatic Camp

Aquatic Programs are offered at the Becker Pool at Saint Edward’s School. All programs are available to the community. We offer Competitive Age Group and Senior Swimming programs. We are a USA Swimming chartered club and a member of Florida Swimming (local swim committee of USA Swimming).
