On January 17th 1953 the Chevrolet Corvette was unveiled during the GM Motorama at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. The Corvette, named for a fast type of naval warship, would eventually become an iconic American muscle car and remains in production today, and Summer Crush will celebrate the 63rd birthday of the Corvette January 15th 2017, with their Annual VETTES IN THE VINES event.
Car shows at the winery are lots of fun and unlike any other. There is no hot asphalt, rather the cars are displayed alongside grapevines and between Oak trees in the Festival area. A covered pavilion with tables and a patio area with picnic tables and umbrellas are only a few feet from the precious rides. Car owners and guests are also welcome to bring your own lawn chairs, as well.
In addition to fine rides, you can always count on hearing great bands. For this event we have called on the Collins and Company Band, one of the most popular bands in the area. Plus, you can also be sure that there will be great food by their select food vendors for the day, as well as, award winning handcrafted Florida wines and wine tastings, a gift shop to browse, wine slushees, dozens of other select beverages, games, and more.
Advance car show registration is only $10.00 until 12/15/17. Then $12.00 until 1/13/17. And $15.00 the day of the show. Registrants receive a keep sake Summer Crush wine glass for driver and one passenger who are over 21, and $2 of each registration fee goes to the featured charity: TBD.
