The Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge celebrated its 25th anniversary last year.  Friends of the Carr Refuge member Vince Lamb will give a presentation at the Pelican Island Preservation Society meeting this month, on the history of the Carr Refuge, which has become one of the most important sea turtle nesting areas in the Western hemisphere.
