There is a balance within us, as movement and stillness merge. This six session series will emphasize combining breathing with mudras (hand positions) and meditations. The program includes:
1 = Introduction to the meaning of Namaste using personal practices.
2= The water element using breath, visualization, and meditation.
The fire element with the practice of light.
3= Sharing experiences and focusing on the heart chakra. Breathing with awareness.
4= Healing through sound
5= Intuition and the essence of stillness and light
6= Kali Kundalini Mudra, reading, and meditation.

Himalaya Parker has taught yoga and gentle stretching in our local community for over more than thirty years, beginning in the 1980’s at local recreation departments and addiction rehabilitation centers. She continues to teach at Living Yoga Studio, Vero Beach Art Museum, and Kashi Ashram. Himalaya is an ordained swami, (teacher) and is a senior instructor of the ancient style Kali Natha Yoga (Certification is through Yoga Alliance), a flowing and meditative style of yoga which includes the use of breath, mudras, postures, stretches, and deep relaxation. She also continues her practice as a licensed massage therapist and reflexologist locally.
