Throughout the month of April, National Poetry Month, we have been collecting poems about IRC and your life in it. Boxes are located at Walking Tree, IRC Main Library, Yoga Pagoda, Living Healthy Studio in Sebastian, 9:23 Community Church, IRC North County Library and Regency Park Senior Residence.
We'd like to hear from you, through a poem, haiku or full verse, about your life in IRC. We all experience life differently depending upon where you live and where you are originally from. How does where you live impact you? How does where we are from shape us? Community is grown through compassion and finding common ground. This can be challenging in a county as diverse as ours. One's reality, ones' truth can be completely different depending on your circumstances, even living mere miles from each other.
Join in us at The Yoga Pagoda on Friday, April 28th at 7:00pm for a theatre performance by The Pagoda Players who, through performance, music, and movement, will bring your submitted poems to life. Submissions may also be made via email to manyvoicespoetryproject@gmail.com or by visiting our website at www.manyvoicespoetryproject.com
Hope to see you there!
