The City of Vero Beach has a strict "No dogs allowed on the beach"
policy. This is in place not only for health reasons but also because
dogs are known to be predators to sea turtles. Only a small portion of
sea turtles nests get marked off on the beach, and many times dogs
will dig up eggs and hatchlings. For this reason, please keep dogs off
the beach
