Join us and make history as the American Red Cross begins its second century of Service in the South Florida Community.
At this free family event guests will enjoy live music, food and beverages, a silent auction, exhibitors, a kids' zone, and the opportunity to learn to prepare for the 2018 hurricane season. More than five hundred community members attended our last Hangar Party including elected officials and local celebrities.
The mission of the American Red Cross connects us to people and communities, locally, across the nation and around the world. The common bonds of humanity and compassion unite us together, not just in the face of emergencies and disasters, but in helping out neighbors every day.
All proceeds from this event benefit the American Red Cross aiding in our response to local disasters, ranging from home fires that affect a single family to hurricanes that affect tens of thousands. In these events the Red Cross provides shelter, food, health, and mental health services to help families and communities get back on their feet. Prior to these events the Red Cross provides prevention programs such as installing fire alarms and teaching disaster preparedness and safety to the community's children. Although the American Red Cross is not a government agency and receives no government funding, it is an essential part of the response when disaster strikes. Last year's hurricane season reminds us that it is more important than ever to be sure we are prepared. This event will help our community do just this.
