April 13 - April 15, 2018
(10 am -4 pm on April 13 & 14), (Noon-4 pm on April 15)
Take a journey back in time, before air travel, to the days of luxurious passenger trains and monster steam engines, but on a much smaller scale! The HO Group, made up of members living in Palm Bay to Stuart, Florida will have four trains on display at McKee Botanical Garden from April 13-15. (The HO scale trains are half the size of O scale trains). Relive your fond memories of seeing long freight trains like the Union Pacific’s Big Boy or the Norfolk and Western’s Y6B’s, including the beloved red caboose at the end! Reminisce about the days of luxury passenger trains like the well-known California Zephyr, the Santa Fe’s famous Super Chief or the New York Central’s Twentieth Century Limited, as they travel through the mountainside and industrial city landscapes complete with a rock quarry, coal mine and even a Florida pineapple plantation. Admission: $12 Adults, $11 Seniors, $8 Children ages 3-12, members and children under 3 free. The last admission ticket is sold at 4 pm.
