Fifth Avenue Art Gallery is proud to host A View from the Loft, a celebration of the Art Students’ Guild of Brevard, TASGOB. This exhibit opens on April 3 and will run through April 29. There will be a First Friday Opening Reception at the gallery on April 6, from 5:30 pm through 8:30 pm. Guild members will be present to share their work and thoughts with you.
The Guild is the oldest art organization in Brevard County. It is where members gather three times a week to sketch or paint live models, drink coffee, and talk about art. Located on the top floor of the Arcade Building in downtown Melbourne, the Guild has offered workshops since its earliest beginnings. One of its prominent faculty, Bill Shultz, with the help of his students, created the American Impressionist Society. Some members hold membership in the Portrait Society of America as well as many of our local artists’ groups. Beginners are always welcome and encouraged by everyone. This exhibit takes a closer look at the talents and diversity of its members and offers something for everyone.
Fifth Avenue Art Gallery is located in the Eau Gallie Arts district of Melbourne, Florida. All events are free and open to the public.
