Indian River Habitat for Humanity (IRHFH) and Lowe’s invite women to build alongside future homeowners during the 10th annual National Women Week. IRHFH is one of 300 Habitat organizations nationwide hosting Women Build projects during the week with support from Lowe’s, a longtime partner in the event!
On May 11th, local volunteers will spend a fun and rewarding morning measuring, sawing, drilling and hammering at a home under construction in our Waterside Community, located in Vero Beach.
National Women Build Week brings together women to devote at least one day to building decent and affordable housing in their local communities. Nearly 100,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered in previous years.
No construction expeirence is required! We will have trained staff there to guide you throughout the day!
YOU WILL NEED:
Closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen and comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty.
HABITAT WILL PROVIDE:
Tools, water, a mid-morning snack, and a nifty Women Build t-shirt!
